Y is for Yes Lord Thank You for YouTube

For two days I've had this song stuck in my head. Actually, it isn't even a whole song, just one phrase which plays over and over. "Yes Lord. Yes Lord. Yes, Yes Lord. Yes Lord. Yes Lord. Yes, Yes Lord. Yes Lord. Yes Lord. Yes, Yes Lord. Amen."

In order, to either permanently burn it into my brain or in an attempt to at least learn the rest of the words to the song, I went to YouTube.

After listening and watching to several video versions of the song, I've picked out a couple to share with you.

A little history about this song and why I even know it. A few years ago I went to a Diocesan Youth Conference. While the band played they sang the words. They danced and had moves to this song. When I say "they", I mean every one in the conference room danced and sang this song. Everyone, or so it seemed except for me. I had never heard this song before let alone danced or did motions to this song. I tried to sing and do the motions but I was always off, doing the wrong motions or singing the wrong words. The only part that came easy was the Yes Lord part. I love that part.

Thank God for YouTube! After watching these video clips, I noticed something really great. I am not alone in my awkwardness and lack of musical co-ordination. Also, one video had just the words. Now, I know the words. As I said, I watched several videos and another neat thing was that all of them had different moves. Some did straight sign language while others did variations of symbolic dancing motions, different-love it! Unfortunately, I haven't found a video of the moves they did at DYC but I think now that I know the words I might not have so much trouble with the motions. I can hope!

Oh, and I think the title isn't "Yes Lord" it is "Trading My Sorrows"

Trading My Sorrows
The words are very clear!

Trading My Sorrows The lyrics!!

Trading My Sorrows signed

"Trading My Sorrows" They make it look fun!

"Trading My Sorrows" I am not alone!

"Trading My Sorrows" My favorite!

and "Trading My Sorrows" Another beautiful interpretation.

Warning
This is a catchy and uplifting tune if you listen/watch all of the videos above it may be stuck in your mind for days. Not necessarily a bad thing...lol.

God Bless
