Without going into details or justifying the following-it is possible we are an Asperger family and it has its benefits.

For instance, I don't need the machines where you can stop and replay movies or sports moments. I have three children who give me instant replays over and over, randomly throughout the day. This not only applies to movies and sports but to funny jokes or mishaps or hilarious moments we just experienced. Over and over...did I say I get to enjoy things over and over. This is not to point out that they also add to each others replays. lol

Then there is the practical side of our days. My kids ask for unique items for their birthdays or special occasions. For example, my sweet daughter wants a dictionary for a Confirmation present. Now please understand she just turned 13 and has a college level dictionary she reads often but she wants a more advanced dictionary. Does anyone know what a more advanced dictionary refers to? lol

Pacing has its benefits, too. There is one whole section of our yard I never have to mow. lol

I have a great life!

In closing, my daughter wants to share a quote from Fyodor Dostoevsky, "The soul is healed by being with children." So true.
